Application instructions
- Plan to secure three letters of recommendation (not a relative). You will need the names and email addresses of your submitters for the IU CAS application. Please make your recommenders aware of your application and deadline, and give them three to four weeks to prepare. They will be sent a link to submit the letters.
- Polish your resume or curriculum vitae, ensuring they are current and accurate.
- Craft a personal statement, 300–500 words, to include: your preparation for research (examples include coursework in research, engagement in research projects or grants, and completion of a master’s degree thesis); intended research focus; learning objectives; leadership potential; and identified research mentor.
- Request official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended. Please allow additional time for international transcripts. Send by email to hprofadv@iu.edu or mail to: School of Health & Human Sciences, Attn: SHHS Graduate Admissions Coordinator, 1050 Wishard Blvd., Third Floor, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
- Understand you will be required to interview with a graduate faculty member involved in admission. You must also identify a graduate faculty member who will allow you to research with them; your research must be congruent with that faculty member.
